Dear Friends and Fellow Travelers,

There is truly nothing quite like summer in Maine. Our recent Roaming Coastal Maine 2026 expedition was an unforgettable dive into New England’s "Vacationland." Taking off together right out of Tallahassee, our group stepped into the crisp ocean air of Portland, where historic cobblestone streets, working harborfronts, and incredible seafood set the stage for an incredible week along the Atlantic.

We embraced the true coastal lifestyle through authentic, hands-on experiences at every turn. In Portland and Freeport, we learned the tricks of local oyster shucking, set sail on scenic harbor cruises, and stood beneath iconic ocean landmarks like the Portland Head Lighthouse. From there, we ventured up the coastline to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, where the granite peaks met the surging tide in jaw-dropping fashion. A massive highlight for everyone was boarding an authentic lobster boat to see the local fishing heritage firsthand...and, of course, indulging in plenty of fresh-caught Maine lobster dinners throughout our journey!

Beyond the rugged cliffside trails and colorful blooms at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, what made this journey so special was the wonderful camaraderie among our group. Whether we were strolling through seaside boutiques, relaxing in historic inns, or sharing laughs over a boiled lobster feast, the warmth of our travel community was felt every single day. If you weren’t able to join us under the New England sun this time around, you were deeply missed!
